But there are too many artifacts that imho disturb the topic & composition (skull, rose, cut hand, colorful glass window, sign on the church saying "Property of..."

My only crit is the stain-glass window in the church...as Lojza mentioned, its too colorful. Doesnt seeem to fit in with the rest of the image....espeically with the surroundings being all brick. Maybe if you just made it a simple cross window, or maybe just tried turing the saturation down. Other than that I think its great.

It's clear Cris that you are exploring less anime-style work but that a few anime influences (such as how we draw heads vis-a-vis our bodies) remain.
It's not easy doing authentic backgrounds on photoshop especially if you are using a photoshop brush. In realit, various colors constantly animate the backgroun. But one brush with photoshop can freeze many of those atomic particles of color - killing them. I experienced it all too often.
I especially like those statues. The folds are spectacular.
So when will you be illustrating some muchachos? Still looking forward to it.

You continue to amaze me with your attention to detail--and your ability to render visually complicated materials.
