character definately doesn't fit into that background, lightning doesn't match, colors don't blend and character is way too sharp compared to background. Both are well made however, though you could have put more work to trees, they are too soft looking. Biggest problem is the environment that hurts like strong poke in the eye. Sorry but I have to give to this +3/8, no offense, I know you can do really amazing stuff too

I have to agree that the character looks like it's been placed over the top of the background and doesn't blend in.

I think this scene is quite ambitious, I think it deserves good marks its hard to pull something like this off and I think its quite good for what chris was going for,.

I agree with the others about the background. Nevertheless, I think it looks quite nice- sets a slightly eerie mood, I reckon. The girl's left leg, to me, looks broken. The small sharp bump up near were her thigh connects to her hip doesn't help with that, either.

The clothing is awesome. You really have a talent for clothing. The girl is beautiful- soft skin tones are great. I love the way you've done the border.

Overall- excellent picture!

I like the diversity of your style, spider...I disagree with the above, being that this is a particular style, it can have any background and is not limited. I think the background and the fore ground,BOTH, go well together.
I also think that too often people are quick to pick things out that they do not like about a style and not so swift as to back up their crit with a constructive outlook.
But, also...that is just an opinion.
